GIPAC Account $3357.96

$200 received in donations.

$140 paid out

Public Comment: None

Updates/New Business:

Planning for 2025 – discussed priorities for the year ahead.

  1. Current Projects:
    1. C23-1: Follow-up with the County on implementation; education of Islanders
      1. Kathy: email to Jack Moore regarding well drilling enforcement?
      2. Educate Islanders on what C23-1: Steve to draft informational piece in Q-1, Possibly use website to distribute
    2. Rainwater Catchment: follow-up with Health
      1. Want to understand where rainwater catchment is in health/planning departments?
    3. USGS Report Review and Release
      1. GIPAC (should) be receiving a report form USGS “winter 2025”
      2. Depending on the release date, could do special meeting or wait untill the annual meeting next year. TBD
    4. Comp Plan Update – BoCC slated to adopt in June 2025
      1. Conversation about support structures related to agriculture built in sea level rise flood planes.
      2. Conversation about the Skagit river watershed being divided up.
      3. GIPAC to continue to monitor Comp Plan and shorline master plan.
      4. Shoreline Master Plan – track status; follow-up if needed

Ferry:

Letter from GIPAC to request FC to be involved, and educate commissioners on the history of cooperation with GIFC. Make the comparison that all other ferries have committees. Petition may also be a good approach.8:30  Adjourn Meeting
