GIPAC Account Balance $ 2580.96
Public Comment:
Michael asked about the ferry terminal comments. Frea gave an update on her property.
Updates/New Business:
- Patty Rose joined us to discuss the well monitoring project and to determine whether this effort should “live” with GIPAC.
- Several folks have stepped up to continue well measurements and chloride testing that has been going on for many years.
- GIPAC could consider sourcing county approved chloride test kits to distribute to the public at the annual meeting.
- GIPAC is tentatively committing to facilitate communication of citizen collected well data to Skagit County.
- Updates:
- Schoolhouse Park Materials Storage
- Zoom meeting for hearing was nonfunctional so nobody was able to attend..
- Gabe to follow up with Brandon Black to get status of SUP.
- CAO update
- Decision on CAO update moved out until October
- GIPAC thinks the CAO update is fine for Guemes so far.
- Anacortes Dock
- Public hearing on the permit will be set in the future in front of the city council.
- A long conversation was had about the dock, electric ferry, funding etc…
- Guemes Parking Lot Redo- meeting with Michael See
- Kathy reached out, and he was out of office. Awaiting reply.
- Skagit Transit
- Survey posted on Guemes Ferry website.
- SKAT is considering changing the pilot project to allow non reservation service for rides home from the ferry.
- GIPAC Business
- Project progress:
- C23 implement and educate – Michael to follow up with Jack Moore
- Islander Education – Publish write up on C-23 on website.
- Real Estate Education – Punt
- Rainwater – Kathy to reach out to Keith (again)
- USGS – Slipped to August
- CAO – Covered earlier in meeting
- Shorelines – Kathy to follow up.
- SKAT – Covered earlier in meeting
- Website – More updates coming
- Board member recruitment: Michael, Jep, Steve, and Kathy reaching out to contacts.
- Annual meeting ideas/dates: Hopefully USGS, Water test kits
- Kathy to reach out to Leland this month.
